SERPed.net vs Moz Pro (2026)

Prices and features checked November 4, 2026

The short answer

Pick SERPed.net if you are a small agency or freelancer who reports on many client sites: at $179 a month it covers 75 sites with daily rank checks, local map-grid tracking and branded reports, where Moz Pro covers 10 sites with weekly updates. Pick Moz Pro if you want first-party keyword and link data, weekly tracking of how GPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode mention your brand, and help you can reach around the clock. Moz is also easier to learn. SERPed gives you more sites, seats and reports for the money, and Moz gives you better research data and support.

Pricing compared

Prices were checked on November 4, 2026, in US dollars.

SERPed.net has three plans. Premium costs $79 a month, Ultimate $179 and Enterprise $379, and paying yearly brings them down to $53, $120 and $253 a month, about a third off. Every plan includes every tool; the bigger plans raise the limits on sites, rank checks, audits and team seats. Client dashboards with their own logins need the Agency add-on, which costs $29 a month at what SERPed calls a launch price (the list price is $49), or $20 a month billed yearly. Premium and Ultimate cost $7 for the first 30 days, then renew at the monthly price. VAT or sales tax may be added at checkout depending on your country.

Moz Pro has four published plans. Starter costs $49 a month for one website and 50 tracked keywords. Standard costs $99, Medium $179 and Large $299, and yearly billing takes 20% off those three for the first year ($79, $143 and $239 a month). Enterprise is priced by quote. Extra users cost $49 a month each, and extra tracked keywords $20 a month per 200.

The cleanest match is at $179, where both vendors sell a plan:

At $179 a month SERPed Ultimate Moz Pro Medium
Sites 75 10
Rank tracking 7,000 checks a month: 233 keywords daily or 1,750 weekly 1,500 keywords, updated weekly
Users 5 team accounts 2
Branded reports Yes Yes
Yearly price $120 a month $143 a month in the first year

If you are paying for rankings and reports across many client sites, SERPed gives you more for the same money, and the gap is wider at the entry level: SERPed Premium at $79 covers 20 sites and two seats, while Moz Standard at $99 covers 3 sites and one user. What Moz puts into the same budget is its own keyword and link data, AI visibility tracking and round-the-clock support, covered below. A Moz help page showed a "save up to 40%" sale banner on the day we checked, so your checkout price may be lower than the list price.

Rank tracking and local SEO

SERPed counts rank checks per month and lets you decide how often each keyword updates. On Premium, 2,500 checks a month covers 83 keywords checked daily or 625 checked weekly. Rank Tracker follows Google by country, city or area, plus Bing and Yahoo by country, on desktop and mobile, with competitors shown beside you. Separate trackers cover Google's local results, YouTube and Amazon, and Instant Check returns live positions for up to 25 keywords at a time, handy when a prospect asks where they stand during a call.

Moz updates campaign rankings once a week, on the weekday you first set up the campaign, and records the top 20 positions; anything lower shows as 21+. Each campaign follows one site and three competitors, and Moz says it collects each tracked keyword across up to four search engines (Google, Google mobile, Bing and Yahoo), by country, city or postal code. A Search Visibility score sums up the trend, but if you need to see movement day by day, the weekly schedule is a real limit.

Local SEO is the clearest gap between the two. SERPed includes Local GeoGrid, which plots where a Google Business Profile ranks at points across a map, plus Citation Scanner and Competitor Citations, which list the directories where a business is missing and where its top local rivals already appear. Moz handles business listings through Moz Local, a separate subscription. If you look after restaurants, clinics or trades, SERPed covers more of the job in one plan.

Keyword and backlink research

Research is Moz's strongest ground. It runs its own keyword index of more than 1.25 billion keywords and says its link index covers more than 40 trillion links. Moz also created Domain Authority, the score many clients already quote back to you. Keyword Explorer groups suggestions by topic and search intent, and Competitive Research shows the keywords and top pages a rival ranks for. The limits on the cheaper plans are tight: Standard allows 150 keyword queries and 5,000 backlink queries a month, and Medium raises that to 5,000 and 20,000.

SERPed gets its link data from Moz and Majestic through their APIs, so Site Explorer and Backlinks Explorer show Domain Authority, Page Authority, Trust Flow and Citation Flow side by side, along with its own SERPed Rank. The 2026 updates added Ahrefs Domain Rating and Semrush Authority Score columns to the dashboards, Site Explorer and reports, and a Trust Ratio (Trust Flow divided by Citation Flow). Premium includes 200 Site Explorer and Backlinks Explorer searches a month.

For keywords, SERPed Premium includes 100 Ultimate Research searches (up to 80,000 suggestions), 150 Keyword Analyzer searches and 70 Long Tail Keywords searches that pull ideas from Google, Bing, YouTube, Amazon and eBay. What Ranks Where shows up to 3,000 keywords a competitor ranks for, and since mid-2026 it labels search intent and SERP features.

If link research is the center of your work, Moz is the stronger choice, and Ahrefs deserves a look as well. If you mainly want several vendors' authority scores in one table, for client reports or for judging a domain before you buy it, SERPed does that well.

Reports, client dashboards and lead capture

SERPed is built around agency reporting. Every plan includes unlimited site reports: you pick the metrics, backlinks and rankings, save the layout as a template, add your branding and let SERPed email the PDF to you or your client daily, weekly or monthly. The Agency add-on adds drag-and-drop dashboards with a login for each client, and you can create as many as you need, so clients can check their rankings without waiting for the next report.

Site Auditor Pro is the SERPed tool Moz has no answer to. You embed a free-audit form on your own site, a visitor enters their URL, they receive a branded audit by email, and their details go to you or to an email tool such as Platformly, AWeber, Mailchimp or GetResponse. Premium covers 250 of these leads a month and Ultimate 2,500.

Moz Pro has custom reports and scheduled email reports on every plan. Branded reports and saved templates start on Medium, and Moz offers no lead-capture widget or client logins.

One caution about SERPed: a few tools sit outside search engines' rules. Social Exchanger is a members' marketplace where you trade credits for Google Business Profile and Facebook reviews, comments and likes, and Google's Maps content policy removes reviews given in exchange for an incentive. The domain-finding tools are also pitched at private blog networks. Leave both alone if you do client work.

AI search tracking

Moz Pro shows you how AI assistants talk about your brand. Standard and higher plans run a set of prompts each week in GPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode and report how often your brand is mentioned, the sentiment and which pages get cited. Standard tracks 150 prompts, Medium 300 and Large 600, with more at $50 per 100. Moz also flags which keywords trigger Google's AI Overviews and writes AI content briefs: 2 a month on Standard, 10 on Medium and 50 on Large. The $49 Starter plan has none of the AI visibility tools.

SERPed has no AI visibility tracking. Its home page says keyword research is "enhanced with AI" without explaining what that does, and its 2026 updates went into intent labels, SERP features, authority columns and more detailed audit reports. If clients are asking how they appear in AI answers, Moz can show them and SERPed can't.

Ease of use and support

Moz is the easier tool to pick up. Every plan includes onboarding tips in the app and by email, and Moz Academy courses, the Beginner's Guide to SEO and Whiteboard Friday videos sit on the same site. Support is online 24 hours a day, and Moz promises same-day help from a person. MozBar Premium, the Chrome extension that shows link metrics on any page you visit, comes with every plan.

SERPed puts more than 40 tools under one login, so there are more menus to learn, and a few vendor pages still use old names such as Google My Business and Twitter. Support runs through a help desk ticket form, and the pricing page promises a reply within 24 business hours in one place and 48 in another; the contact page offers no chat or phone number. On the plus side, its Chrome extension shows Moz and Majestic metrics as you browse, and a WordPress plugin adds Site Auditor Pro forms and tracking code to your site.

Who each one suits

SERPed.net suits a small agency or freelancer whose clients pay for rankings, reports and local visibility. For the price of Moz Medium you can track keywords daily across 75 sites instead of weekly across 10, send branded reports from the cheapest plan and collect leads through Site Auditor Pro. It also suits people who run their own portfolio of niche sites and buy aged domains.

Moz Pro suits an in-house marketer or business owner looking after one to ten sites who wants first-party keyword and link data, needs to see how AI assistants mention the brand, or is still learning SEO. The $49 Starter plan is the cheaper way in for a single site, though its 50 tracked keywords leave little room. Agencies that want both depth of data and big tracking allowances should also compare Semrush and SE Ranking.

Which should you choose?

Choose SERPed.net if

  • You report on 10 or more client sites and want branded PDF reports emailed on a schedule from the entry plan
  • You need some keywords checked every day, not once a week
  • You look after local businesses and want map-grid rank checks and citation gaps in the same tool
  • You want a free-audit form on your own site that turns visitors into leads
  • You want Moz, Majestic, Ahrefs and Semrush authority scores side by side without four subscriptions

Choose Moz Pro if

  • Backlink and keyword research are your main jobs and you want the vendor's own data
  • You want to track how GPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode mention your brand
  • You are learning SEO and want onboarding, courses and support available around the clock
  • You run one site and want to start at $49 a month
  • Clients or your boss judge sites by Domain Authority and you want it from the source

Questions people ask

Is SERPed.net cheaper than Moz Pro?

At the entry level, yes for what you get. On November 4, 2026, SERPed Premium cost $79 a month for 20 sites and two users, against $99 for Moz Standard with 3 sites and one user. Moz's $49 Starter plan is cheaper in dollars but covers one website and 50 keywords. At $179 both sell a plan, and SERPed's covers 75 sites to Moz's 10.

Does SERPed.net use Moz data?

Yes. SERPed connects to the Moz and Majestic APIs and shows Domain Authority, Page Authority, Trust Flow and Citation Flow in Site Explorer, Site Manager and reports. In 2026 it added Ahrefs Domain Rating and Semrush Authority Score columns. You get Moz's headline metrics, but Moz Pro gives you far more link queries and Moz's full research tools.

Do SERPed.net or Moz Pro have a free trial?

Moz offers a free trial of its Medium plan with monthly billing; you need a credit card and must cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid a charge, and Moz does not publish the trial length. SERPed has no free trial, but Premium and Ultimate cost $7 for the first 30 days and come with a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Which is better for local SEO?

SERPed.net. It includes a Google local results tracker, Local GeoGrid map checks, Citation Scanner and Competitor Citations in every plan. Moz Pro tracks rankings by city or postal code, but listings management is a separate Moz Local subscription.

Can I white-label reports in Moz Pro?

Branded reports and report templates start on the Medium plan at $179 a month. Standard has scheduled reports without your branding. SERPed includes branded, scheduled PDF reports on every plan and sells client dashboards through its Agency add-on.

Does SERPed.net track AI search results?

No. SERPed has no tool for tracking mentions in AI assistants. Moz Pro tracks prompts weekly in GPT, Gemini and Google AI Mode on Standard and higher plans, with mentions, sentiment and cited pages.
