SERPed.net vs Semrush (2026)

Prices and features checked November 4, 2026

The short answer

Pick SERPed.net if you run a small agency or a set of niche sites and want branded PDF reports on a schedule, a free-audit widget that collects leads, local map-grid checks and two team accounts on one $79 a month plan. Pick Semrush if research is most of your work: it has its own database of 29 billion keywords and 43 trillion backlinks, tracks 500 keywords daily on its entry SEO plan and reports how ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and Google's AI Overviews mention your brand. Semrush also has a free plan and a 7-day free trial, while SERPed charges $7 for your first 30 days. Semrush bills extra users and branded reports as add-ons, while SERPed's $79 plan already includes two team accounts and branded reports.

Which wins for what

  • White-label client reports SERPed.net Every SERPed plan includes unlimited branded PDF reports emailed daily, weekly or monthly, while Semrush charges $10 or $20 a month per report for My Reports.

Pricing compared

On November 4, 2026, SERPed.net cost $79 a month for Premium, $179 for Ultimate and $379 for Enterprise. Paying yearly brings those to $53, $120 and $253 a month. Each plan gives you the whole tool set with different credit limits. Premium and Ultimate let you start with 30 days for $7, after which they renew at the monthly price, and SERPed promises a full refund if you ask within the first 30 days. Client dashboards with their own logins need the Agency add-on: $29 a month at what SERPed calls a launch price (the list price is $49), or $20 a month billed yearly. VAT or local sales tax may be added at checkout.

Semrush sells four tiers called SEO, Starter, Pro+ and Advanced, and quotes Advanced on request. Its pricing page showed us paid plan prices only in euros, so we can't give you a US dollar figure for them; check semrush.com on the day you buy. Semrush says yearly billing saves up to 17%.

Semrush does publish US dollar prices for its add-ons, and a small agency will notice them. Extra users start at $45 a month each on plans with the SEO toolkit, branded My Reports cost $10 or $20 a month per report, and the Agency Partners platform costs $90 a month. The Local, Content, Social, Advertising, AI PR and Traffic & Market toolkits are billed separately as well.

SERPed's $79 Premium plan already includes two team accounts, unlimited branded PDF reports and the local SEO tools. A two-person agency that mostly sends clients reports will spend less on extras with SERPed. A team that spends its day inside keyword and competitor data gets more for its money from Semrush, because that data is what you pay Semrush for.

Keyword research and rank tracking

Semrush has the deeper research tools. It puts its keyword database at 29 billion keywords across 142 geo databases. You can enter any domain to see the keywords it ranks for, the pages that bring it traffic and where AI assistants cite it, then compare it with your own site to find gaps. Position tracking checks rankings daily by location, device and search engine, with 500 keywords on the SEO and Starter plans, 1,500 on Pro+ and 5,000 or more on Advanced.

SERPed's keyword tools connect to Google's API. Ultimate Research and Keyword Analyzer return search volume, cost per click, trends and PPC competition, and Keyword Analyzer adds a competition score with Moz and Majestic metrics for the top 10 results. Long Tail Keywords pulls ideas from Google, Bing, YouTube, Amazon and eBay, which helps if you sell on marketplaces or run a video channel. What Ranks Where shows the keywords any site ranks for in Google's top 100, and the Summer 2026 update added search intent and SERP feature columns to it. Premium includes 170 keyword reports a month.

Rank tracking is where the entry plans differ most. SERPed counts tracked keywords per month, and Premium allows 2,500. SERPed's pricing page puts that at up to 83 keywords checked every day or 625 checked weekly, and you set the schedule. For that you get Google by country, city or area, Bing and Yahoo by country, mobile rankings next to desktop, and separate trackers for Google local results, YouTube and Amazon. If you need hundreds of keywords checked every morning, Semrush's SEO plan gives you about six times Premium's daily allowance.

Backlinks, audits and AI search

Semrush builds its own link index, which it says holds 43 trillion backlinks, and its backlink reports also show the citations language models use when they mention your brand. Site Audit crawls your site and lists the technical problems that hurt your visibility in search results and AI answers.

SERPed reads link data from the Moz and Majestic APIs, so you see Domain Authority, Trust Flow and Citation Flow alongside its own SERPed Rank. Its 2026 updates added Ahrefs Domain Rating and Semrush Authority Score columns to Site Explorer, Site Manager, the dashboards and Site Reports. That helps when clients ask for those scores by name, though the link lists themselves still come from Moz and Majestic. If link research is your main job, Semrush or Ahrefs will serve you better. SERPed's SEO Audit runs on any page, and since the Fall 2026 update it names duplicated headings and flags skipped heading levels. Backlinks Manager watches your own links and emails you when one appears or disappears.

AI search is the widest gap between the two. Semrush reports how often your brand and pages appear in answers from ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google's AI Overviews. Starter tracks 50 of your own prompts a day and Pro+ tracks 100, and Starter and higher plans include MCP access so AI assistants can query your Semrush data. SERPed says its keyword research is now "enhanced with AI" without saying what that does, and it lists no tool for tracking AI answers.

White-label reports, lead capture and local SEO

Reporting and finding clients are SERPed's strongest ground. You build a PDF report from metrics, backlinks and rankings, save it as a template, and SERPed emails it to you or your client daily, weekly or monthly under your branding. All three plans include unlimited reports. With the Agency add-on you can also build drag-and-drop dashboards and give each client a login, and SERPed sets no limit on how many.

Site Auditor Pro brings in leads from your own website. You embed a free-audit form on any page, or add it through SERPed's WordPress plugin. A visitor enters their site, receives an audit with your brand and contact details, and their details go to your email tool; SERPed names Platformly, AWeber, Mailchimp, GetResponse, Infusionsoft and Ontraport among its connections. Premium covers 250 of these audits a month and Ultimate 2,500. Mobile Prospector finds sites in the top 100 results for a keyword that aren't mobile friendly, so you know whom to pitch.

Local SEO comes in the same plan. Local Tracker follows Google local results, Local GeoGrid plots where a Google Business Profile ranks at points across a map every 7 or 30 days, and Citation Scanner and Competitor Citations show the directories where a business is missing and where its rivals already appear.

Semrush covers parts of this through add-ons. Branded reports and dashboards come through My Reports at $10 or $20 a month per report, local listings and local rank tracking sit in the separately priced Local toolkit, and its pricing page lists a Lead Generation add-on at extra cost. If you want reports, lead capture and local checks on one bill, SERPed is the simpler buy.

One caution about SERPed. Its Social Exchanger lets members trade Google and Facebook reviews, comments and follows for credits, and Google's contribution policy removes reviews paid for directly or in kind. The domain finders, which cover GoDaddy Auctions, NameJet, SnapNames, Dynadot, Sedo and other marketplaces, are pitched partly at building private blog networks. We'd keep both away from client work.

Ease of use and support

SERPed keeps buying simple. Every plan has the full set of 40+ tools, and bigger plans only raise the limits, so your bill is easy to predict. Each site gets a Site Manager page with rankings, backlinks, authority scores, an audit and up to three competitors, and the Chrome extension shows Moz and Majestic metrics and SERPed Rank for the page you're on. The tool list is long, though, and covers jobs many SEOs never do, such as buying expired domains and updating WordPress sites in bulk, so expect to leave parts of it unused.

Semrush is easier to try. The free plan gives you 10 reports a day with no card, and Semrush Academy runs free courses. Paying takes more thought: you pick between the SEO plan and the SEO + AI Search tiers, then decide on extra toolkits, users and report add-ons. Exports stay off during the 7-day trial, so you can't take data out until you subscribe, and each trial works once per account.

For help, SERPed takes tickets through its contact form and says it normally replies within 24 business hours. It lists no chat or phone line. Semrush's support page points you to its knowledge base, Academy and API documentation, and the pages we read gave no email, phone or chat details.

Who each one suits

SERPed.net suits a freelancer or a small agency looking after up to 20 sites that wants to send branded reports on a schedule, collect leads through a free-audit widget and check local map rankings, with two people working on one $79 plan. It also fits owners of niche site portfolios who track YouTube or Amazon rankings next to Google.

Semrush suits in-house marketing teams and agencies whose work starts with research: keywords in many countries, a competitor's traffic and links, hundreds of keywords tracked daily, and how AI assistants describe a brand. It's also the easier choice if you want to try before paying, because the free plan costs nothing and the trial is free for 7 days.

If you can pay for only one, look at what fills most of your week. Research and AI visibility point to Semrush. Client reporting, local checks and winning new clients point to SERPed.

Questions people ask

Is SERPed.net cheaper than Semrush?

SERPed Premium costs $79 a month, or $53 a month billed yearly, and includes two team accounts and unlimited branded reports. Semrush showed us its paid plan prices only in euros, so we can't compare the base prices in dollars. Semrush's US dollar add-ons, such as extra users from $45 a month and branded reports at $10 or $20 a month each, come on top of whichever plan you choose.

Does SERPed.net use Semrush data?

Partly. Since its 2026 updates, SERPed shows Semrush Authority Score and Ahrefs Domain Rating in Site Explorer, Site Manager, dashboards and reports. Its backlink lists and other authority metrics come from the Moz and Majestic APIs.

Which one has a free trial?

Semrush offers a free 7-day trial on most plans, once per account, with exports turned off, plus a free plan with 10 reports a day. SERPed has no free trial or free plan. Its Premium and Ultimate plans cost $7 for the first 30 days, and it offers a 30-day money-back guarantee.

Which is better for local SEO?

SERPed, if you want local tools without another subscription. Every plan includes a Google local tracker, Local GeoGrid map checks and citation tools. Semrush's local listings and rank tools sit in its Local toolkit, which it prices separately per location.

Can either tool track rankings in AI answers?

Semrush can. It reports how often your brand appears in ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, Claude and Google's AI Overviews, and its Starter and Pro+ plans track 50 and 100 of your own prompts a day. SERPed lists no AI answer tracking.

Who owns Semrush now?

Adobe. Semrush announced on April 28, 2026 that Adobe had completed its acquisition, and the product still runs under the Semrush name at semrush.com.
