Convertful vs Picreel (2026)

Prices and features checked November 4, 2026

The short answer

Pick Convertful if you want A/B testing and pop-ups that react to what your email platform knows about each visitor: its $29 Starter plan includes both, while Picreel keeps A/B testing for its free plan and its yearly-only Enterprise plan. Pick Picreel if you want to pay nothing on a small site (it is free up to 5,000 pageviews a month), ask leaving visitors why they are going, or reach support by phone. Picreel gives more pageviews per dollar on paper, but it counts every page load, while Convertful counts a pageview only when a widget shows. Agencies should choose Convertful for its white-label plans with unlimited client sub-accounts.

Which wins for what

  • A free plan Picreel Picreel is free up to 5,000 pageviews a month; Convertful has a 14-day trial and no free plan.
  • Cheapest paid plan Convertful Convertful Solo costs $9 a month or $84 a year, against Picreel Essentials at $19.99 a month or $119.88 a year, though Essentials allows 50,000 pageviews to Solo's 10,000.
  • A/B testing at a mid-range price Convertful Convertful includes A/B tests from the $29 Starter plan, while Picreel's paid plans list them only on Enterprise, sold yearly from $839.88.
  • Targeting by CRM tags, lists and fields Convertful Convertful syncs two ways with ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Keap, Kit, Mailchimp and others, so subscribers stop seeing your sign-up form.
  • Learning why visitors leave Picreel Picreel has exit surveys built for that question; Convertful's polls and quizzes can ask it, but Picreel makes it the main use.
  • Salesforce, Marketo or Eloqua Picreel Picreel names all three on its integrations page; Convertful's 35 listed integrations include none of them, so you would go through Zapier or n8n.
  • Agencies managing client sites Convertful Convertful's Agency plans add unlimited sub-accounts and a white-label dashboard from $179 a month, while Picreel's $300-a-year add-on only removes its 'Powered by' links.
  • Phone support Picreel Picreel lists phone, email and chat support, and Convertful lists chat, tickets and guides without a phone line.

Pricing compared

Both tools charge by monthly pageviews, so the price you pay depends on your traffic. These are list prices from each vendor's pricing page, checked November 4, 2026.

Traffic Convertful Picreel
Up to 5,000 pageviews Solo, $9 a month ($84 a year), 10,000 pageviews Free
50,000 pageviews Starter, $39 a month ($324 a year) Essentials, $19.99 a month ($119.88 a year)
200,000 pageviews Growth, $99 a month ($744 a year) Business, $59.99 a month ($479.88 a year)
1 million pageviews Enterprise, $249 a month ($1,584 a year) Enterprise, from $839.88 a year, unlimited pageviews

On those numbers Picreel looks cheaper at every level above Solo. The two companies count pageviews differently, though. Picreel counts every time a page loads in a browser, reloads included. Convertful counts a pageview only when a widget triggers and the visitor sees it, counts several widgets on one page once, and counts an inline form only when it scrolls into view. If your pop-up fires on a third of your pages, a Convertful allowance stretches about three times as far, so check how many of your pages will show a widget before comparing.

The plans also hold different features. Convertful's $29 Starter plan adds two-way CRM sync, A/B tests, multi-step widgets, AI copy and webhooks, and removes Convertful branding; Solo shows the branding and covers one site. Picreel's Essentials plan covers one domain, and its Business plan adds exit intent, spin-to-win, timers, geotargeting, five domains and unlimited users. A/B testing and the API sit on Picreel Enterprise, which you can buy only on a yearly plan.

When you reach your limit, Convertful stops showing widgets until the 1st of the next month unless you turn on its auto-increase option, and it emails you at 95%. Picreel's pricing page doesn't say what happens at the limit.

Pop-ups, triggers and targeting

The widget lineups are close. Convertful builds pop-ups, floating bars, scroll boxes, full-screen welcome mats, inline forms and floating buttons, and it makes a mobile version of each that you can adjust. Picreel lists 15+ pop-up types, including lightboxes, nanobars, sidebars, video pop-ups, timer overlays and a prize wheel. Both start you from 100+ templates.

Triggers are similar too: exit intent, time on page, scroll depth, inactivity and clicks on both, with page count and click count added on Picreel. Convertful pulls ahead on targeting. Picreel aims campaigns by page, device, browser, location, traffic source, cookies, past visits, date and time, or custom variables. Convertful has similar rules for URL, UTM parameters, referrer, visit number, device, cookies and location, lets you combine them in AND/OR groups, and adds account-based rules that read tags, lists and custom fields from your email platform. That lets you hide a newsletter pop-up from people who already subscribed, or show a renewal offer only to contacts tagged as customers.

Picreel's answer is the exit survey: a short question to a leaving visitor about why they are going. Convertful can ask questions through multi-step widgets, quizzes and polls and tag visitors by their answers, but Picreel makes the exit survey a headline feature and is the simpler pick if feedback is what you want.

Email platform connections and A/B testing

Convertful's docs list 35 integrations, among them ActiveCampaign, AWeber, Brevo, HubSpot, Keap, Kit, Klaviyo, Mailchimp, MailerLite and Moosend, plus Zapier, n8n and webhooks. About a dozen of those sync both ways, which is what powers the tag-based targeting above. Button actions can also send extra data to your CRM, POST to a URL, email a notification, redirect, or open another widget.

Picreel names about 37 integrations, and its list leans toward larger companies: Salesforce, Marketo, Oracle Eloqua, Act-On, Emarsys and dotdigital sit beside Mailchimp, ActiveCampaign, HubSpot and Klaviyo, and Zapier extends it to 700+ apps. If your leads have to land in Salesforce or Marketo, Picreel is the safer choice. Picreel's API, webhooks and CRM field mapping come with Enterprise.

Neither tool sends your email campaigns. Convertful hands each lead to your email platform, and Picreel marks its own follow-up email sending as coming soon, so plan on keeping a separate email tool with either one.

A/B testing splits the two most clearly. Convertful includes A/B tests on every plan from Starter at $29 a month, and its AI writes text variants to test. Picreel's pricing page lists A/B testing on the free plan and on Enterprise but not on Essentials or Business, so a store paying $59.99 a month for Business may not get it. Ask Picreel before you buy if testing matters to you.

Online stores and spin-to-win offers

Both tools sell to store owners. Convertful's Shopify app and its WordPress plugin with WooCommerce generate a unique, single-use discount code for each spin-to-win or scratch-card winner, add a product to the shopper's cart when they click a button, and show widgets on chosen product or category pages or when an item is in the cart. Convertful lists all widgets on every plan, including Solo at $9 a month. Its Shopify app is free to install with a $10 one-time charge for premium features, and the listing doesn't say whether that replaces or adds to a Convertful plan.

Picreel's prize wheel, countdown timers and geotargeting arrive on the Business plan at $39.99 a month billed yearly. Its Shopify app, Picreel: Sales & Email Popups by ProProfs, installs without code, and other stores add a snippet. Picreel doesn't say whether its wheel hands out unique codes.

Ease of use and setup

Picreel is the quicker start for a beginner. You describe what the pop-up is for, paste your site address, and its AI builder drafts one in your logo, colors and fonts, then takes changes in plain words. You can still adjust the result in a drag-and-drop editor, and its reports add an AI summary that flags when results rise or drop.

Convertful asks for more setup because there is more to configure, such as CRM connections, rule groups and multi-step flows. That work pays off once it runs: subscribers stop seeing your sign-up form, and contacts tagged as customers see their own offer. It connects by plugin, Shopify app, a pasted script or Google Tag Manager, with guides for Wix, Squarespace, BigCommerce, Magento and others. On Starter and above its AI writes titles and descriptions and makes images from a prompt, and its Flows view maps every page with an active widget alongside impressions and conversions per page.

Support and the companies behind them

Picreel belongs to ProProfs, which bought it in January 2021 and also makes Qualaroo and BIGContacts CRM. Picreel lists phone, email and live chat support, with 24/7 support and a success manager listed from the Business plan. Convertful is run by Sovereign Net LTD, registered in the British Virgin Islands, and its terms fall under BVI law, which matters if your company only signs with US or EU suppliers. It offers live chat, a help desk, a knowledge base and video guides, and Enterprise adds dedicated support. Neither company publishes response times.

Who each one suits

Convertful suits small businesses, stores and agencies that already run an email platform and want site forms to use what it knows. You get A/B testing and two-way sync at $29 a month, unique Shopify and WooCommerce codes from $9, and white-label agency plans with unlimited sub-accounts from $179 a month. The trade-offs are the missing free plan and widgets that stop at your limit unless you allow an upgrade.

Picreel suits small sites that want to start free, beginners who want the AI builder to do the design, and teams who need Salesforce or Marketo connections or phone support. Check its plan sheet closely, since A/B testing skips the middle plans. For a free plan with more traffic, see OptiMonk, and for the largest template library, OptinMonster.

Which should you choose?

Choose Convertful if

  • You use ActiveCampaign, HubSpot, Klaviyo, Kit, Keap or Mailchimp and want pop-ups that hide from subscribers or change by tag
  • You want A/B testing and multi-step widgets without paying for an enterprise plan; Convertful's Starter plan costs $29 a month or $204 a year
  • You run a Shopify or WooCommerce store and want each spin-to-win winner to get a unique, one-time discount code
  • You run an agency and want a white-label dashboard with unlimited client sub-accounts
  • Your widgets show on only some of your pages, so paying only for pageviews where a widget appears saves you money

Choose Picreel if

  • Your site gets under 5,000 pageviews a month and you want to pay nothing
  • You want to ask leaving visitors why they are going with exit surveys
  • Your leads need to reach Salesforce, Marketo or Oracle Eloqua
  • You want phone support and a success manager on a mid-priced plan
  • You'd rather describe a pop-up in plain words and let the AI builder draft it in your brand colors

Questions people ask

Is Convertful cheaper than Picreel?

Convertful counts only pageviews where a widget shows, so the gap narrows or reverses on sites where pop-ups fire on a minority of pages. Prices checked November 4, 2026.
