Writesonic
Free trialTracks how ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews mention your brand, then writes articles to close the gaps.
Best for marketing teams that want their brand named in ChatGPT and Google AI Overviews answers
Facts checked November 4, 2026
The short answer
Writesonic began as an AI article writer and now sells itself as an AI search platform. It tracks how often ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews mention your brand, audits your site and writes long, cited articles aimed at the prompts you are missing. Self-serve plans start at $79 a month billed yearly, or $99 monthly, with 15 AI articles, which makes sense for a brand team measuring AI visibility and poor value if you only want blog posts. Tracking beyond those three AI platforms, the full Action Center and SSO all need a custom Enterprise plan.
Choose it if
- Your buyers ask ChatGPT or Gemini for recommendations and you want to see which prompts name a competitor and leave you out
- You want 3,000 to 8,000-word articles with checked citations, pushed straight to WordPress, Webflow, Ghost, Sanity or Contentful
- You want AI visibility, Google Search Console data and site audits in the same account
- Your security review asks for SOC 2 Type II, SSO/SAML or HIPAA, which the Enterprise plan lists
- You want to test with full access for seven days before you hand over a card
Skip it if
- You want dozens of blog posts a month: Starter includes 15 AI articles for $79 a month billed yearly
- You need Perplexity, Claude or Copilot tracked without an Enterprise contract, because self-serve plans cover ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews only
- Your budget is closer to $20 a month, since the cheapest plan on the main pricing page is $79
- You want phone or live chat support; self-serve plans come with email support
- You need more than five users without moving to Enterprise
Main features
AI visibility tracking
Add the prompts your buyers type, or take Writesonic's suggestions, and see how often ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews mention or cite you. Self-serve plans also monitor ads; Enterprise extends tracking to nine AI platforms.
Sentiment analysis
Shows whether AI answers describe your brand favorably or not. It starts on the Growth plan.
Action Center
Ranks what to fix next, such as missing prompts, citation gaps, weak pages and technical problems, then checks the effect at day 14 and day 28. Growth gets a trial of 5 off-page and 5 on-page actions a month; Enterprise gets the full version.
AI Article Writer
Writes 3,000 to 8,000-word listicles, comparisons and guides through a pipeline of more than 100 steps: audience research, a look at the ranking pages, an outline, section-by-section drafting and a review pass. Writesonic says every claim is matched to a source before you publish.
Brand voice and writing styles
Save brand and author voice profiles that the writer checks against at each step. Starter holds one writing style, Basic five and Growth ten.
Page rewrites for AI search
Agents rework pages you already have by adding FAQ blocks, comparison tables and passages that make sense when an AI tool quotes them out of context.
Site audits and AI crawler checks
Audits robots.txt, schema, indexing and the errors AI bots hit on your site, and offers one-click fixes. The number and size of audits depend on your plan.
Outreach finder
Finds Reddit threads, YouTube videos and listicles that cite your competitors and drafts replies, so you can try to get your brand into those sources too.
Publishing and integrations
Push articles to WordPress, Sanity, Contentful, Webflow or Ghost, connect Google Search Console and Google Analytics, and pull data from Ahrefs and Keyword Planner. Writesonic also has a public API, MCP support, a Chrome extension and a Zapier connection.
