ChartMogul

Free plan

Subscription analytics and a built-in CRM for SaaS companies, fed by Stripe, Chargebee, Paddle and more.

Best for SaaS companies that want MRR, ARR and churn figures they can trust, from one billing system or several

Facts checked November 4, 2026

The short answer

ChartMogul reads your billing data and works out MRR, ARR, churn, expansion and LTV for you, and it connects to more than 30 billing, payment and accounting systems, from Stripe and Chargebee to App Store Connect, Google Play and Xero. It's free until you pass $10K MRR, which makes it an easy first choice for a young SaaS company. Costs climb as you grow, though: Starter allows one billing system and three team members, so a second billing system or a fourth colleague means Pro, and both paid plans cost more as your ARR rises.

Choose it if

  • You run a SaaS business under $10K MRR and want proper subscription metrics now without paying for them
  • You bill through more than one system, say Stripe for self-serve and Chargebee or invoices for larger accounts, and want one set of numbers (Pro combines up to five billing systems)
  • You sell a mobile app as well as a web product and need App Store Connect and Google Play revenue counted alongside your web billing
  • Your sales or success team wants pipelines, tasks and follow-up sequences next to each customer's MRR instead of in a separate CRM
  • You want to ask questions of your revenue data from Claude or ChatGPT through ChartMogul's MCP server

Main features

  • Subscription metrics

ChartMogul calculates MRR, ARR, churn, LTV and customer counts from your billing data and breaks MRR into new, expansion, contraction, churn and reactivation. It separates exchange-rate effects from real growth when customers pay in different currencies.

  • Billing system imports

Connect Stripe, Chargebee, Recurly, Braintree, PayPal, Zuora, GoCardless, Paddle, App Store Connect, Google Play, Shopify Partners, Xero, QuickBooks and others. Anything without a connector can come in through the API, CSV uploads, Google Sheets, n8n or Zapier.

  • Segments and saved reports

Slice any metric by plan, country, cohort or another attribute, save the charts your board asks for, and share a report as an image. Every plan includes this.

  • Benchmarks and forecasts

Compare your churn, NRR and growth with SaaS companies at a similar ARR, drawn from more than 2,500 peers, and model what ARR could look like in 12 months under different growth assumptions.

  • Built-in CRM

Track opportunities in custom pipelines, assign tasks with due dates, run follow-up sequences and sync Gmail, Outlook or IMAP mailboxes, with each account's MRR on the record. Pro adds two-way sync with HubSpot.

  • Automations

Start actions when a trial begins, MRR crosses a threshold, a renewal approaches, a payment fails or a customer schedules a cancellation. Actions include enrolling contacts in a sequence, creating tasks and notifying teammates.

  • ChartMogul AI and MCP server

Ask questions in plain English, such as what CAC you can afford by segment, and get a chart or an answer built from your revenue data. The same tools work in Claude or ChatGPT through the MCP server, which every plan can access.

  • Scheduled reports and exports

Email reports to your team or investors daily, weekly, monthly or quarterly and post metrics to Slack on a schedule. Pro can push data to Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, S3 or other storage.

  • Mobile and Stripe apps

The iPhone app shows MRR, ARR, churn and LTV with home screen widgets, and the Android app shows MRR, ARR and subscribers. A Stripe app adds MRR figures to your Stripe dashboard and customer pages.
