Wordze vs Writesonic (2026)

Prices and features checked November 4, 2026

The short answer

Pick Wordze if you want a steady flow of SEO blog posts: it researches keywords, drafts and grades each article and publishes it to WordPress or a Shopify blog, from $10 a month billed yearly with enough credits for about 300 articles. Pick Writesonic if your main worry is whether ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews mention your brand. It tracks those answers, tells you what to fix and writes long, cited articles aimed at the gaps, from $79 a month billed yearly with 15 articles. Bloggers, affiliate sites and Shopify stores get far more writing from Wordze for the money. Brand teams with a budget for AI search work will get more from Writesonic.

Pricing compared

Wordze has two plans. Solo costs $15 a month, or $120 a year ($10 a month), for one user, three sites and 250,000 credits a month. Wordze estimates that covers about 300 articles of 1,500 words, though keyword research, editor AI and images draw on the same credits. Team costs $40 a month, or $360 a year ($30 a month), for up to 100 users, 100 sites and 1,000,000 credits. You can buy extra credits that do not expire, and you can change plans at any time.

Writesonic has three self-serve plans and a custom Enterprise plan. Billed yearly, Starter costs $79 a month, Basic $199 and Growth $399. Billed monthly, they cost $99, $249 and $499. Yearly billing is paid 12 months up front, so a year of Starter costs $948. Starter includes one user, 50 tracked prompts, 15 AI articles and 10 site audits a month. Basic and Growth add users, prompts, audits and articles, and Growth can buy 20 more articles for $100 a month.

The two prices pay for different things. On Wordze, almost all of your money buys writing. On Writesonic, most of it buys daily tracking of AI answers, audits and fix suggestions, and the articles come on top. If you only count articles, Writesonic Starter works out to roughly $5 to $7 each, while a Wordze Solo subscriber who publishes even 20 posts a month pays well under $1 a post.

Writesonic is easier to try. Its pricing page says you can start without a credit card, and it offers a 7-day refund with no questions asked. Wordze has no trial, so you pay first and can claim a full refund through its help desk within 30 days. Wordze takes PayPal and cards through Paddle.

Writing SEO articles

Wordze covers each step of an SEO blog post, from research to publishing. You start with topic and keyword research by keyword, question or competitor domain, with volumes and trends, and a Clusters tab groups ideas into a pillar page and its supporting posts. The outline builder pulls together the headings of the pages that already rank, and the generator drafts to your settings for length, readability, tone, style and point of view. In the editor, Wordze grades the draft against the top pages and suggests word count, headings, images, links and missing terms. With Google Search Console connected, you can find posts that are slipping and rework them in the same editor. When you publish, Wordze can send the new URL to Google and Bing for indexing.

Writesonic's AI Article Writer aims at fewer, bigger pieces. It writes 3,000 to 8,000-word listicles, comparisons and guides through what it calls more than 100 steps: audience research, a look at the ranking pages, an outline, section-by-section drafting and a review pass against your style guide. It shows volume, difficulty and intent for each keyword, draws on Ahrefs and Keyword Planner data, and scores how much business a topic could bring before it drafts. Writesonic says it ties each claim to a source before you publish and keeps competitor blogs out of its citations. Hero and section images come with alt text and captions.

For a site that needs many posts a month, Wordze wins easily, because the credit pool covers hundreds of articles and the research, grade and publish button sit in one tab. For a brand that publishes a few long comparison pages a month and cares most about sourcing, Writesonic's writer does more checking per article. Wordze does not list rank tracking or backlink audits. If you need those, add an SEO suite such as SERPed or Semrush.

AI search visibility

Writesonic puts most of its effort into AI search, and Wordze has no feature for it. You add the prompts your buyers type, or take Writesonic's suggestions, and it checks every day how often ChatGPT, Gemini and Google AI Overviews mention or cite your brand. Self-serve plans track those three platforms. Enterprise covers nine, including Perplexity, Claude, Microsoft Copilot, Grok and Google AI Mode.

The Action Center ranks what to fix next, such as missing prompts, citation gaps, pages to refresh and technical problems, and Writesonic measures each fix at day 14 and day 28. Growth gets a trial of 5 off-page and 5 on-page actions a month, and Enterprise gets the full version. Sentiment analysis, which shows whether AI answers describe you favorably, also starts on Growth. Site audits check robots.txt, schema, indexing and the errors AI crawlers hit on your pages, and an outreach finder lists Reddit threads, YouTube videos and listicles that cite your competitors.

Wordze's view of search stops at Google and Bing: keyword data, scores against ranking pages and your own Search Console figures. If your buyers increasingly ask an AI assistant for recommendations and you need to know whether it names you, Writesonic is the tool built for that question.

Ease of use

Wordze follows the order you would write a post in: research, outline, draft, edit, publish. Each step hands its work to the next, so the keyword you pick shapes the outline and the outline shapes the draft. The main setup is connecting your WordPress site or Shopify store and, for the refresh tools, Google Search Console. Wordze runs its own fine-tuned models built on open-source technology, so you cannot pick GPT or Claude for your drafts.

Writesonic has more to set up before it pays off. You choose the prompts to track, connect Search Console and Google Analytics, add a brand voice and then decide which Action Center items to work on. That suits a marketer who will check the dashboard every week. Someone who just wants a post for Thursday will find most of the screens beside the point. The no-card trial gives you time to see your own visibility report before you commit.

Teams, security and support

Wordze Team is the cheap way to give a whole content crew access: up to 100 users and 100 sites for $40 a month, while Solo stays at one user. Wordze lists SSL, Sucuri website security, optional two-factor sign-in and database encryption, and says you own what you generate. Support runs through help desk tickets, a contact form and a knowledge base, on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. GMT+1, with replies normally within 24 business hours.

Writesonic's self-serve plans are small by seat count. Starter has one user, Basic two and Growth three, and Basic and Growth can add seats at $50 a month each up to five in total. Enterprise adds SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, GDPR, SSO/SAML, an account manager and an AI search strategist. Starter and Basic come with email support and Growth with priority email. If your security team needs SOC 2 or single sign-on, Writesonic has them on Enterprise, and Wordze's pages do not mention either.

Who each one suits

Wordze suits bloggers, affiliate site owners, Shopify sellers and small agencies who judge a tool by how many useful posts go live each month. One person pays $10 to $15 a month, the credits cover heavy publishing, and Team brings a whole team in for $40. It writes in 42 languages.

Writesonic suits marketing teams at companies whose buyers already ask ChatGPT or Gemini what to buy, and who have $79 to $499 a month for tracking, audits and fixes. Its articles are long and carefully sourced, but 15 to 50 a month is a small allowance for a content site. If you mainly need blog posts, you would pay for a dashboard you rarely open.

Which should you choose?

Choose Wordze if

  • You publish SEO posts every week to WordPress, WordPress.com or a Shopify blog
  • Your budget is $10 to $40 a month and you want hundreds of articles' worth of credits

  • You want to find slipping posts in Google Search Console and rework them in the same editor
  • You would rather pay by PayPal and rely on a 30-day refund than a short trial

Choose Writesonic if

  • You need to see which ChatGPT, Gemini or Google AI Overviews answers name a competitor and leave you out
  • You publish a few long comparison pages or guides a month and want each claim tied to a source
  • Your site runs on Webflow, Ghost, Sanity or Contentful
  • Your security review asks for SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA or SSO, and you can take an Enterprise contract
  • You want to try the full product without entering a card
