Hello

I am relatively new to this forum and am interested in knowing what pains people about email marketing.

What problems do you encounter and what keywords do you enter into Google to find a solution? Do you find that solution?

Thanks for your interest

@Daniel I think the biggest problem with every email marketer is inboxing and open rate.

If any company can help with this issues then there is a big market opportunity.

@Daniel, funny you asked. Because I'm also new to the forum and currently looking up solutions to some of my email marketing problems. Below are the issues I'm having with.

  1. Creating “Quality” content people want to read. I can create content, but compelling content that's readable/shareable is challenging.
  2. Creating Automation. Maybe I'm just a bit dense, but creating either a drip campaign or automation for emails is something I'm still trying to figure out.

Right now one of my strategy for sending better content is by taking blogs and articles from our website (https://penji.co) and linking them in our weekly newsletter. That way I'm not writing new materials every week just for emails. What are some of YOUR problems Daniel?

Most people think that email marketing is just sending emails with some commercial message and call to action such as Buy it now.

Well, this was before, now people call it spam.

Nowadays, email marketing is a part of the whole digital marketing plan. It should be connected with the other parts like social marketing, PPC and etc.

It is difficult to manage an email campaign effectively when you don't have a plan.

And because most of the people even don't have a business plan for their business idea, they think that they need any plan for anything.

But when they start writing a plan, they say: “Wow, it's hard, it's not for me” and here you go another pain in the ass.

The biggest issues in email marketing are usually centered around deliverability issues, meaning : your message actually reaching your target audience .

Open rates are also very important, reaching your clients isn't always all that you need, you also need them to open , read and interact with your email.

Sending high volume emails periodically will possibly yield a high amount of bounces, the more bounces happen, the worst your sending reputation becomes.

Sending reputation is crucial to maintain because it greatly influences your email marketing.

I highly recommend using an email validation service such as Zerobounce to clean your lists of invalid, spam-traps, catch-all, temporary (etc.) emails that will only result in hurting your campaign.
Please check the features below:

  • It has built in Abuse Detection – Meaning it will flag emails addresses known for clicking the spam button.
  • It has spam trap detection – Contrary to popular believe that all spam traps are not detectable. It’s simply untrue, there are many spam filters that will auto-reply that the email is a spam-trap and you email it again, you’re blacklisted.
  • Data Appends – This is amazing, they will tell you the first name, last name, and gender for the majority of your emails – What other company does that?
  • IP Location – If you upload the IP address, it will append the location the email was captured from.
  • Disposable/Temporary Email Detection – If an email is a temporary email address it will tell you, those are not worth mailing too.
  • Catch-All Detection – Meaning the email address can be good/bad – these addresses will always verify as valid.
  • Do Not Mail – Role based emails and emails from spam companies fall into this category.
  • API – You can interface with their API and do validations from your registration
