A/B testing is nothing but a campaign used to test the changes done in the pattern of emails. You can easily find out the alteration in emails.
The Changes can be done in “subject line, from name, sending time & the content”. You can create lists of email addresses that can be divided into A & B groups to test the design of the email in different ways.

These will help you to figure out the snag in your emails via A/B testing are-

1. What should be the best day to send emails for improving open & click rates.
2. What type of subject line will be more effective for your emails
3. What should be the “from name” you have to use in your emails (It may be ‘your name’ or the ‘company name’)
4. What is more important “a GIF” or “an image” for your emails

Basically, it's a way to test subtle changes in the subject line, content, etc. It's a useful feature for people that don't really know what they're doing!
