Pros: I like Screaming Frog. There are certain things it does very well. I like that it's a desktop app, so I don't need an internet connection to use it. I like that it puts together so many features. It does an excellent job of crawling sites. It audits all the SEO elements and gives you in-depth information that you can use to improve sales, and it does this fast. I like the fact that the tool can find problems on a site and then give you ideal solutions, many of them which are present within Screaming Frog itself. You get a good snapshot of what your competitors are up to, and I also like the visualization feature.
Cons: There are certain things about Screaming Frog that I think have room for improvement. The number of features is both a good and a bad thing. It's good for experienced SEO pros because they know how to use all these tools. However, if you are just beginning these just make it a confusing and overwhelming tool to use. It took me a while to learn how to make Screaming Frog work for my sites, and during that time I had to rely on other tools. If they could find a way to split the tool and keep it simple it would be so much better. There could be a section for beginners, and then you can add features as you get more familiar with SEO.
