Pros: SEMrush shows you the ranking of any website, what keywords they are using for PPC and even what ads appear on their site, all which clients are very happy to see as it tells them exactly what the competition is doing. I also use it for keyword research for clients, and it helps us come up with ranking content all the time. The link audit feature is great for unearthing toxic links. I think the whole point of this tool is robust content, and it does that very well.
Cons: When I first bough SEMrush it took forever to be able to use it because there were so many features and such a busy dashboard, it left me feeling confused. If they can find a way of easing in new users with fewer features it would be a great help. This ties in with pricing. If you are not a heavy user SEMrush can be expensive. Why not have a simple version of the software that does basic SEO analysis and is cheaper? Lastly, for a tool like SEMrush I would expect much better support, but I've had to wait several days for someone to get back to me, and even then they didn't solve my problem right away.
